Luke Freeman, Director
Luke had always wanted to own a pub which served great food and the finest wines and ales. Freeman Leisure acquired the Mill Race in 2005 and after extensive renovations has made the Mill Race a destination pub. The modern décor mixed with traditional stone walls, comfy leather sofas and a tradition wood burner all add to the comfortable and friendly atmosphere making the Mill Race well worth a visit.

Jane Thompson BIII, General Manager
Jane is the General Manager and has a strong background in the licensed trade.  She is more than qualified to deal with our customers requirements and does her best to ensure that everyone has a wonderful experience at the Mill Race.  

Dan Wall, Head Chef
Dan joined the Mill Race as Head Chef in February 2008 having previously been Head Chef at the award winning Stewing Pot in Hereford, Dan has worked in several reputable restaurants. Dan’s wealth of knowledge and overwhelming passion and enthusiasm for food will ensure customers enjoy the tastiest freshly cooked dishes. 

Lynnette Bourgaise, Front of House Manager
Lynnette started with us in 2008 and works every Tuesday and Wednesday.  Lynnette is a very experienced restaurant manager and has previously been the restaurant manager at Michelin starred, The Crown at Whitebrook and Prego in Monmouth.

Graham Passey, Sous Chef
Graham started at the Mill Race when it opened in 2005.  Graham has previously worked at the Michelin starred Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham.  Having been interested in cooking from an early age Graham's interest and enthusiasm in food is an asset to the Mill Race.

Sarah Morgan, Sous Chef
Sarah started at the Mill Race when it opened in 2005.  Having had much experience as a chef in local pubs Sarah has bought invaluable knowledge and skill to the team.  Her natural flair and ability in the kitchen means that our customers can be sure to enjoy their dining experience at the Mill Race.

And all the rest…
Each and every one of our friendly and dedicated staff will help make your visit one to remember. In addition to our chefs, the kitchen team includes Stacey, Jamie, Leon, Kirral and Becky. Our front of house team includes Laurie, Kat, Amy and Steph R  who will do their best to ensure you have a really good time!  And last but certainly not least, Rosie, who works very hard to ensure the pub is kept spick and span.

Employee of the Month
