The Mill Race is a relaxed, informal village pub in the Wye Valley just 3 miles from Ross-on-Wye and 6 miles from Monmouth. With an attractive patio courtyard and lawn area, The Mill Race benefits from stunning views across open countryside towards Goodrich Castle and the Wye Valley. Owned and managed by people who are passionate about food, nearly all of our produce is sourced from within 30 miles of Walford, some even comes from our very own farm!

Being positioned on the borders of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire we are surrounded by wonderful producers. Our regularly changing menus ensure we make the most of local produce with our focus on simple food cooked well.

As featured in Alastair Sawday's Eat Slow Britain "Hearts soar when our inspectors find chalkboard menus promoting regional, seasonal produce: farm meats, village-baked bread, locally shot game and local brewery ale. Proud to be voted as winner of The Morning Advertiser Great British Pub Wine Pub of the Year for West Midlands and Wales 2013, 2014 and 2015. Winners of many TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence.
